Econet Wireless Zimbabwe reported a 43 percent increase in data traffic and a 6 percent rise in voice traffic for the third quarter ending 30 November 2021, supported by the commissioning of 80 new LTE sites and the acquisition of additional spectrum. Despite operational challenges from national grid instability and vandalism, the company is addressing inflationary pressures through regulator-approved tariff adjustments and a strategic shift toward digital distribution channels.
