Econet Wireless Zimbabwe Limited reported a 3% decline in annual revenue to 621.7 million dollars and a profit after tax of 36.2 million dollars for the financial year ended 28 February 2017, citing a challenging operating environment and a strategic shift toward data and media services. The company declared a dividend of 0.467 US cents per share and successfully concluded a 112 million dollar rights offer post-year-end to retire foreign debt obligations.
